I am a Chief Research Officer (CRO) at Desilo, leading a research division that explores emerging privacy enhancing technologies (PETs) including homomorphic encryption, multi-party computation, differential privacy, federated learning, and zero-knowledge proof.
Before joining Desilo, I was a Research Master in both high-performance computing and privacy preserving computing research fields at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT). In SAIT, I led a homomorphic encryption team as a frontier project of SAIT. At the same time, he was a lead of the HPC software stack team of SSC-21 which was ranked the world’s top 11th supercomputer of TOP500 in Fall 2021. I also led several software teams for Samsung proprietary processors such as SRP (Samsung Reconfigurable Processor) and Samsung GPU for the Galaxy S series and Digital TV series.
My research interests cover theories, applications, software stacks, and hardware architectures for domain-specific computing including privacy enhancing technologies and high-performance computing.
